Whitewater and wilderness trips

Hiking

There is no more basic outdoor activity, than hiking. If you say to other people that you like outdoors activities, their next question is sometimes "Where do you usually hike?". All you need to call yourself a hiker is pair of boots, some free time and a little determination. You certainly do not need anybody's help or guidance to do this. Right? Well, not exactly. Of course, if you want to hike in Harriman state park (NY), you are perfectly OK being on your own. But what about multi-day hikes in Alaska or demanding day hikes on wonderful, but harsh rocks of Mona island? Can you find your way around when there are no trails, except ones used by wild animals? Can you survive if you get lost?

Kite

Being the most common and seemingly safe outdoor activity, in reality, hiking is maybe the most dangerous one of them all. One bad step, wrong turn, rolled ankle, loose stones, wet slope ... In real wilderness any of these can quickly lead to an emergency situation. There is no way to predict when things will go wrong. You always have to be knowledgable of the enviroment and be focused - to minimize the risks.

But at the same time, being out there, stepping on the top of the ridge and seeing the view what no one had seen before - this is one feeling you can never forget, this is what makes hiking the greatest outdoor activity ever. It is an essence of living free, an essence of discovery and Adventure.

Come with us - and see for yourself.
