Whitewater and wilderness trips

Kiting (AKA kiteboarding, AKA kitesurfing) is probably the most exciting new sport our civilization came up with in last 30 years or so... The sport is actially only about 15 years old ... or better to say, young. Still, modern kites are 3-d generation devices, and went a long way from initial designs, and results are simply amazing. Now we have a fast, yet predictable and stable wings, easy to re-lunch from water, capable of producing a lot of power for hude jumps, but depowering almost completely in difficult situations. It is al at your fingertips. But you need to learn first.

The learning curve in this sport is not easy. To begin with, you have to be in good physical shape and be able to swim. But even if you are very active and fit person, it is generally impossible to predict how long you will take - to ride the board for the first time. I've seen people doing that in under two days. I've also seen (though not too often) some people who never made it. Even after you are on the board, your learning is not over. You will have to learn how to go upwind. Most people proceed then and learn how to jump, as jumps are real fun and true highlight of this sport.

Sounds intimidating? Well, you have to try it for yourself. There is nothing to compare the feeling of riding a board under your own wing. You become a pilot. You loose most of your weight, as your kite pulls you up...

We are working towards opening a kite school and kite house in La Parguera in a future. The lagoon there is really an ideal place for kiting. Save, flat and warm water, vey good chances of wind, mangrove island that provide additional uplift for high jumps. There is no other location in Caribbean that is more accessible from east coast than La Parguera. Come with us - and see for yourself.

Beware: once you stand up on the board, you are likely "hooked" for the rest of your life...
